Celebrating 50 Years of Rogers Motors

When Rich Rogers’ father moved to Lewiston, ID, in the 1950s and began working at Lorenz Motors, little did he know that his new job would be the spark that created a lifelong profession for generations of the Rogers family. Rich Rogers started out as many young employees do in the auto industry - washing cars. In 1971, he took on a management position, at which time he and his father established Rogers Motors, a Pontiac, Dodge and Jeep dealership.

The year the Rogers Motors dealership moved from downtown Lewiston to its current location on 21st Street, his son, Ryan Rogers, was born. Ryan started off just like his dad in the auto industry - washing cars - and eventually to working in the service department. In those formative years, Ryan learned the work ethic and insider knowledge necessary to operate a successful dealership.

Over the past 10 years, Rogers Motors has evolved from one dealership and 70 employees, to four dealerships with over 240 employees. Rogers Toyota in Lewiston was renamed to focus primarily on the Toyota brand, and soon after, expanded with the acquisition of Rogers Toyota of Hermiston, in Hermiston, OR. Intent on providing his customers with more options, Ryan and Rich Rogers added Rogers Subaru and Rogers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to the Rogers Motors family.

Now, after 50 years, Rogers Motors proudly celebrates our growth, the achievements we have made, and the employees we value, who have come to be like family. Our successes are reflected in the support and involvement we have been able to provide to our communities, from education, to charitable organizations and community events.
